Nothing else on Acrid really synergizes with melee, so play him as a ranged survivor to get the most out of your experience. You really want that Visions of Heresy to scale your damage, getting rid of that terrible M1. If you need reliably good monsoon runs you probably NEED that stage 1 / 2 void fields, even woolie has issues with doggo. You are the worst scaling survivor in the entire game. A single crowbar also makes wisps a lot more bearable, so again, that goes up a tick in that stage 1 multishop (and probably gets scrapped later). Other than that, the usual, but proc items also get a bit more value, as again, they can finish targets. So try not to jump in the sights of way too many enemies. If you don't get a stack of gas for the boss on stage 1, you're going to have problems, prioritize it in multishops over literally anything. Obviously if you get resets on your R you just keep using it, but be careful: you are invulnerable, but enemies will still shoot at you and you can easily get oneshot the moment you leave invulnerability. While Artificer has so little safety, she at least gets a lot of available damage early (though scaling is poopy). You just do so much less damage than everyone else.

Im a firm believer that loader is by far the strongest character (using both atlernate abilities) because of those 1 tap builds. Poison is slow, and your M1 is dangerous to use, even early on. Broken Build Tierlist Trying monsoon stage 20 and I feel like im just rolling the odds for something broken. Other items you'll want to keep an eye out for are debuffs like chronobauble as it can help proc deathmark and net you an extra 50% damage, and missiles/ukulele proc very easily from his special so are powerful options too.Īcrid on Monsoon is IMO the hardest survivor to play consistently. Optimally you'll want to play him more like a ranged character, with his special spreading across groups and dealing lots of damage from afar, and then leaping in with your utility to finish them off if need be. I'd use his M1 earlier in the run and then eventually phase it out mid to long term as it's dreadful for crowd control and survivability. Getting one stack of gasoline or bleed is really helpful in that respect as it pushes those poisoned enemies over the edge to kill them. Use your primary to continually inflict weakens as well as healing up when you get low. Spam your Seed Barrage on the Tangling Growth AOE. Use Bramble Volley to inflict weakens on as many enemies as possible quickly. I'd stick with his default kit, I find poison works better than blight as it deals much more damage across the run as a whole (it's based on both acrid's damage stat and the health of enemies, so it scales better than blight) it just doesn't kill once they reach 1 health. The ideal rotation for Rex is as follows: Shoot your Tangling Growth at enemies.
